Ann Hart Obituary (2022) – Fairfield, CT
Ann Theresa McLaughlin Hart, 93, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2022 at Sunrise Assisted Living Center. Ann was born in Hartford on June 28, 1928, the daughter of John and Grace McLaughlin.
Ann spent her formative years growing up in the town of Rutland, Vermont. On a scholarship from the Catholic Diocese, she attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy. Ann furthered her education by attending Saint Joseph College, where she earned a nursing degree. Ann moved to Burlington, VT soon after graduation and later married John Lewis Hart. She was employed by the private practice of Stokes Gentry MD, an allergist, in South Burlington Vermont.
Ann is survived by her two sons, John Edward Hart and his wife Kelli of West Yellowstone, MT, and Sean Patrick Hart and his wife Mary Ellen of Fairfield. Ann is also survived by her three grandchildren, Mollie Ferro Hart and Will McLaughlin Hart of New York, and Denali Lea Hart of Bend, OR; and her niece, Patti Burk O’Neill and her nephew, Robert Burk of Boston, MA. In addition to her husband, Ann was predeceased by her only brother, Mary Burk of Milford.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center. A Christian Burial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield and interment will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery.
