Christopher Allen appointed Senior Vice President of Partners Bank
Partners Bank announced the hiring of Christophe allen as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. Allen’s professional background includes both the private sector and financial institutions, and he has held a number of leadership positions in a variety of capacities including Enterprise Risk Manager, Chief Risk Officer, Auditor , CPA and consultant. His most recent roles include as a consultant in enterprise risk management, internal audit and compliance at Vertex11 and as director of risk at Patelco Credit Union. He graduated from Ramapo College in New Jersey. Allen and his wife are recent empty nests and can’t wait to move from California to Maine.

His previous experience in the food industry enriched his customer service skills and made him realize his love of helping people. Encompass Health is proud to announce that its Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Elissa Charbonneau, was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of this year’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Directors, marking its second consecutive year on the list. The recognition program recognizes clinicians working in the healthcare industry who are considered by their peers and a panel of experts to be the most influential in terms of leadership and impact. As Chief Medical Officer, Charbonneau oversees the medical operations of 140 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals across the country. Charbonneau lives in Freeport.
Dr Mark Zajkowski, who practices in South Portland, has been recognized by the Maine Dental Association with the inscription on its wall of honor. The MDA Wall of Honor highlights those who have rendered extraordinary service to the Maine Dental Association and is displayed at the MDA office in Manchester. Zajkowski was recognized at the association’s annual business meeting in June. Former President of the Maine Dental Association and current President of the Maine Board of Dental Practice, Zajkowski has practiced with Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates in South Portland since 1999.
APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD
The Maine Community College System hosted Valérie Laure Bilogue de Presque Isle as a new student administrator to the board of directors. Laure Bilogue is a computer and network technology student at Northern Maine Community College who worked as a computer trainer in her native Cameroon before coming to Maine in 2018 to join her husband, who is currently a nursing student at NMCC. . She is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and plans to work while pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Laure Bilogue graduated from NMCC in May and was appointed to the Board of Directors by Governor Janet Mills.
Governor Janet Mills is sworn in to the board of directors of the Maine Connectivity Authority, a new state body tasked with ensuring the universal availability of broadband in Maine. The board of directors is responsible for directing the authority and has seven members. The commissioner of the Ministry of Economic and Community Development also sits there. Carlos Javier Barrionuevo from Georgetown, Daniel P. Belyea from Vassalboro, John chandler from Falmouth, Danielle Louder of Augustus, Michael C. Reed from Palermo, Timothée R. Schneider from Falmouth and Robert J. Souza from Durham were all appointed to serve on the board.

Gagnon is currently President and Managing Partner of New York-based Cambridge Insurance Advisors, and he is also the Founder and CEO of Cambridge Risk Advisors, headquartered in Westport, Connecticut. He has dedicated his career to solving the challenges employers face in the areas of human resources, risk management, compliance and cost containment of employee benefits.
Katahdin Trust announced the promotion of Lauren Charpentier to the branch manager and the head of retail services. She will be responsible for personal loans, business development and the day-to-day management of the bank’s branches in Scarborough. Carpenter joined Katahdin Trust in 2020 as a community banker. In February, she was appointed interim manager, a position she held until this latest promotion. A resident of Standish, she is an active member of her community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Standish Sno-Seekers Snowmobile Club.
Recently promoted Coffee By Design Jeremy Rävar to the director of operations. Rävar joined Coffee By Design in February 2019 and brings over a decade of related experience to this role.
Nicole ganem was promoted by Bangor Savings Bank to the rank of Mortgage Associate. A credit professional with over 13 years of experience in mortgage operations, Ganem’s roles have included that of processor, closing coordinator, MLO liaison and construction administrator. Ganem worked for five years at Bangor Savings, where she oversaw and helped expand her construction loan program. She lives in Gray and is passionate about snowmobiling and the outdoors. Ganem’s office is located at the Marginal Way location of Bangor Savings in Portland.
Agricultural Finance East recently announced the promotion of Shannon webber to the branch manager of his Auburn office. she joined Ghent Holdsworth, who assumed the role of Branch Manager for the Presque Isle office in 2020.
Originally from Topsham, the Webber family owns and operates a 75 acre fruit and vegetable farm in Topsham and Bowdoinham. She started working for Farm Credit as a loan officer in 2005 and has managed a growing loan portfolio while taking on increasing managerial responsibilities.
Holdsworth grew up on the family potato farm in Caribou before joining Farm Credit in 2001. Prior to becoming a branch manager, he was a Business Loan Officer and then a Senior Loan Officer serving clients in northern Maine.
