Frederick Mason Robison (born May 30, 1934) died Tuesday, May 25, 2021 on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He was the son of Katherine Mason Gerrard and Frederick Augustus Robison. He was born in Danville, Illinois and attended the University of Illinois at Champaign. There he meets his wife of nearly 60 years, Nancy Jane Potter. He received both a CPA degree and a law degree from the University of Illinois.
Fred first worked for Arthur Anderson CPA. Then he worked for Warnaco, as assistant treasurer and treasurer for ten years. Subsequently, he worked as Treasurer and Vice President of Emery Air Freight for 11 years. He briefly worked for Burlington Air Express. His favorite job was working, for John Sebastian at Sebastian Cosmetics, as CFO.
In Monroe, Connecticut, he joined Welcome Wagon and the Jaycees. He was elected to two terms on Monroe City Council. Then he was elected to three terms on the Monroe Board of Education, where he served as chair for the last two terms.
Fred attended Congregational Church on Monroe Green, where he served as a deacon. After his retirement he moved to Dunn, North Carolina, where he was a member of Dunn First Presbyterian Church for 23 years.
Fred’s wife, Nancy, passed away in 2016. He is survived by his son Frederick, his stepdaughter Amy and their two sons, Bryan and Matthew. He is also survived by his son Christopher and his stepdaughter Carol, as well as their two daughters Megan and Morgan.
